Here is another delicious and quick post-workout smoothie recipe for you all. It was so divine that I just HAD to come on here and share the recipe :). Today, right after my workout I was craving something sweet really bad. So I looked into my fridge to see what I could make that would be quick and yet give me enough nutrients to replenish my tired muscles…
You guessed it! A smoothie was the first thing that came to my mind.
This one uses basic ingredients, yet together it creates something absolutely out of this world ;).
Here is the recipe for it for a:
Quick Post-Workout Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cup of almond milk
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup of strawberries (frozen or not)
- 1 heaping tsp of raw cacao powder
- 1 Tbsp of chia seeds (good source of protein & omega 3s–> anti-inflammatory)
- 1 tsp of tahini paste (sesame seeds are rich in calcium & magnesium for your muscles & whole body)
Blend everything away until you achieve the perfect creamy consistency your heart desires and that’s it! You have yourself a quick, nutritious & tasty divine drink post-workout :).
