Yesterday, I attempted, for the first time, making my own Almond Milk Chai Latte at home. It was really easy to make and the taste was absolutely divine…
Today, I am sharing the recipe with you all. Like I said, this recipe is really easy. It only requires a few ingredients and about 10 minutes of your time (totally worth it once you’ll have tasted it).
And trust me you WILL get addicted to it- Bye bye Starbucks, hello Homemade Lattes ;).
So without further ado, here is the recipe:
Vanilla Almond Milk Chai Latte
Ingredients:
- 2 Chai tea bags (I used the Four O’Clock brand)
- 2 cups of almond milk (I used unsweetened vanilla flavoured almond milk, but if you make your own just add some vanilla extract to your liking)
- 1 tsp raw honey
- 1 tsp coconut oil (trust me this part is crucial in making it oh-so-smooth)
How to:
On the stovetop, bring the nut milk to a simmer, add the tea bags and remove from the heat. Allow the tea bags to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and pour the warmed Chai-flavoured milk into a blender. Add the coconut oil and raw honey. Blend on high for 2 minutes; and voilà! You’ve got yourself your own personalized Vanilla Almond Milk Chai Latte.
Feel free to customize it to your own personal taste.
Today, I even added a pinch of cinnamon to mine and it was perfect.
